Privacy and data use
What this site collects—and what it does not.
This page describes the data paths implemented by Business AI Today. It is an operational disclosure, not a compliance certification.
Site analytics
When a valid measurement ID is configured, this site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), with Google acting as the analytics processor, to understand visits and which site features are used. GA4 can receive standard usage and device information such as pages viewed, referral information, browser or device characteristics, and approximate geography derived during request processing.
The site configures anonymize_ip; Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled. Site analytics is disabled when no valid measurement ID is configured. We do not send newsletter email addresses or raw ROI calculator values as analytics event parameters.
You can use browser privacy controls or content-blocking tools to restrict analytics requests. Blocking analytics does not prevent use of the site or calculator.
Email brief and MailerLite
Newsletter signup is optional. Its consent box starts unchecked and must be selected to subscribe. If you sign up, the site sends your email address, the newsletter group, and a short source label to MailerLite so MailerLite can maintain the subscriber list and deliver the Business AI Today brief.
Signed MailerLite webhook events support delivery and engagement operations. Our event table stores the event type, provider campaign ID when present, a secret-keyed pseudonymous subscriber key when present, a payload hash used to ignore exact retries, and receipt time. It stores neither the subscriber ID nor email address, and not the raw webhook payload.
Your choice: Unsubscribe at any time using the link in a newsletter. You may also use the site and its ungated tools without joining the list.
Voluntary ROI benchmark samples
The calculator works without sharing. A sample is submitted only when you select the optional checkbox for that calculation.
The request contains the four calculator numbers and selected business function so the server can validate and convert them. The benchmark table stores only coarse ranges for employee count, hours saved, hourly cost, and software cost, plus the selected function, a random sample ID, and receipt date. It does not contain raw calculator values or identity fields: names, email addresses, free text, exact timestamps, or IP-address fields.
These samples are used to develop aggregated, directional benchmark evidence. Individual submissions are not presented as promises of results.
Your choice: leave the checkbox unchecked. The calculation still works, and a storage failure does not affect the result.
Retention and aggregation
No automatic deletion schedule is currently enforced for the coarse benchmark samples or minimized newsletter event log. They are retained for benchmark analysis and newsletter operations until an operational deletion schedule is established or the records are no longer useful. De-identified, aggregated results may be kept after source records are removed.
MailerLite and Google maintain data under their own service settings and terms. Their retention is not controlled by this repository.
Scope and changes
This disclosure covers the public site, newsletter signup endpoint, voluntary benchmark endpoint, GA4 adapter, and MailerLite webhook event log currently represented in this site's code. It does not claim that de-identification eliminates every privacy risk. Material changes to these data paths should be reflected on this page.
